UN Women Australia’s campaign for the 16 Days of Activism reminds us that women should be Safe, Everywhere, Always. From home to work, and everywhere in between, safety is non-negotiable.
Safe. Everywhere. Always. is an inclusive challenge where you can complete 30, 60, or 100kms any way you want over 16 days, from 25 November to 10 December.
Taking the challenge and fundraising will raise awareness and vital funds to support UN Women’s programs around the world that are on the front lines, working to put an end to the violence.
Zonta International is a global human rights organisation committed to building a better world for women and girls. In short, Zonta Says YES to gender equality, NO to violence against women and NOW to gender equal climate action.
Due to systemic gender inequality, women and girls have fewer resources and choices to recover from extreme weather events.
Zonta Says NOW to gender-equal climate action is Zonta's campaign seeking climate justice for women and girls - so they can prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from the impacts of climate change on the same basis as men.
The idea for the campaign began in the Zonta Club of Perth in Western Australia.
