The 22 April marks International Mother Earth Day and the opening of our Zonta Says NOW Virtual Art Gallery!

Mother Earth Day brings attention to the intersection of gender and environmental issues. Women often bear the greatest burdens of environmental degradation, facing challenges such as access to clean water, food security, and the impacts of climate change.

Recognizing and celebrating this day helps to elevate women’s voices in environmental discussions, promotes gender equality in decision-making processes related to environmental protection, and empowers women to be leaders in sustainable development efforts. 

Take some time out to breathe on Mother Earth Day! The air connects all living things and reminds us that we are part of nature. Take a walk outside – feel the sun on your face, admire nature’s beauty and listen to the birds. Visit our Virtual Art Gallery and reflect on how we are building a better, more sustainable world for women and girls. Share the art and our social media posts to celebrate this day.
